This Opuntia is a hybrid produced by a nursery in Grand Junction, Colorado. It's ancestors are native Opuntias that grow in the Grand Junction area. This Opuntia is very cold hardy, and can withstand a regular winter low of -16 degrees F. You are selecting a single pad. It will be shipped bare root. Beware of the barbed spines and glochids (micro-spines) on opuntias. Use paper not gloves when handling.
